Applications for the 2026 EKO Scholarship Program will open on December 1, 2025.

The EKO Scholarship is your opportunity to turn your passions and dreams into real possibilities.
Since 2011, EKO has proudly supported young people with disabilities and developmental needs in pursuing their next education journey. It’s well-documented that individuals with disabilities and developmental needs continue to face barriers to accessing and completing post-secondary education programs.

Our goal is for the EKO Scholarship Program to help address the unemployment bias people with disabilities and developmental needs face, because nothing should stand in the way of promising young Ontarians pursuing their education and career goals.

If you’ve received services from an EKO General Member organization and are starting or continuing your next chapter in your education after secondary school in 2026/27, you may be eligible to apply for a scholarship worth $3,000!

Students who self-identify as Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, or Métis are eligible to apply for a special scholarship, in addition to the seven other scholarships available.

Applicants can pursue education in a wide range of subjects, including sports, medicine, politics, culinary arts, fashion design, journalism, science, and skilled trades such as carpentry or auto mechanics. No matter what path inspires you, the EKO Scholarship is designed to help. We welcome applicants with a wide range of passions, talents, and goals!

The EKO Scholarship is also designed to champion your journey and embrace your talents, no matter how you express yourself: visually, through audio, or in writing.
