IWK Health is Atlantic Canada’s largest women’s, children’s and adolescent hospital and trauma centre, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Situated within the Children’s Health Program, IWK’s Children’s Rehabilitation Service focuses on providing collaborative, family-centered care for children and youth with a variety of diagnoses experiencing physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges. Under the leadership of the IWK, The Provincial Preschool Autism Service is a partnership between IWK Health, Nova Scotia Health, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia, and Autism Nova Scotia. With health care providers from all disciplines, our interprofessional teams work in collaboration with children, youth, and their families to support full participation and achievement of family-centered, functional goals by focusing on the strengths, interests, and aspirations of children and their families.
