Ready, Set, Network at the EKO Spring Symposium 2025

March 04, 2025

The Schmooza Palooza is one of the EKO Spring Symposium’s most popular and unique events, giving delegates the chance to meet colleagues and developmental health partners from across Ontario and beyond. In short networking rounds, delegates connect with those who share their professional interests, meet mentors, gain valuable career advice, practice essential networking skills, expand professional and social contacts, and have fun along the way.

“We’ve heard loud and clear that conference delegates value the chance to meet and connect with others,” says EKO President & CEO Jennifer Churchill. “At the Schmooza Palooza, we make this easy and enjoyable. We do away with over-the-top event trimmings because building professional relationships starts with an entertaining and friendly environment. The only pressure is for delegates to introduce themselves and meet others they may otherwise never get to know.”

One theme that has emerged from this event is the strong community that is the developmental health sector. EKO introduced the Schmooza Palooza for the first time in 2023. The event quickly garnered a reputation for successfully kickstarting professional connections and personal friendships, too. It’s fun, fast and the room can get loud.

“This is an opportunity to create opportunities,” says Gord Uszkay, Data Practice Lead for Levio Consulting—the EKO Spring Symposium 2025 Presenting Partner and Exclusive Partner of the Schmooza Palooza. “We encourage all delegates to join us to meet as many people as possible, expand their professional networks, and have a great time.”

Not sure how to break the ice? Tell partners what your first job was or your current passion project; ask if there is a book or podcast they recommend. Or play this or that: playlists or podcasts, cats or dogs, summer or winter (alternatively spring or fall), ocean or lake, pizza or pasta?

We guarantee your Schmooza Palooza experience will be memorable!
